Yeehaw! 2006 Hoedown a Great Evening for All!

Thank you to those who were able to join us for the Fourth Annual Hoedown and Auction, Saturday, October 14th at the Portland Art Museum!  Together we netted $107,000 for Sisters Of The Road - yippity a-yo!  Uncle Earl and Foghorn kept our toes tappin and our boots flyin as Johnna Wells and Ed Whelan made sure we all shared our bounty for Sisters’ year round barn raisin’ good work!

Weren’t able to come this year?  Shine your boots and join us next year for another rousing great time!  Stay tuned and keep your ears peeled - this year’s tickets sold like griddle cakes.

Let’s raise our root beer once again to those amazing sponsors who make the hoedown possible: Gales Creek Insurance Services, Greenbrier Co., Don and Chrissy Washburn, NW Natural, Rejuvenation, Siltronic and Cathy Dupuis Productions, and to Nathan Junkert at Dumpster Fire for his Hoedown cow art.

And let’s thank the team of volunteers who worked their boots off to bring us all an evening to remember and bring it home for Sisters.  You’re the cow’s moo!  Thank you all!  Finally, we would be remiss if we didn’t get down on our knees and give thanks for the amazing work of Lisa Hawash, Sisters’ Development manager!  And she’s great with power tools too.  She was smiling all the way up the event, amazing!
