Sisters’ Holiday Matching Grant Challenge is on! Sisters’ Matching Grant Challenge is on! Did you know Sisters raises most of its annual revenue during November and December and approximately 65% of Sisters’ revenue comes from individual donations? It is a crucial time to reach out and support people in extreme poverty throughout the year. This year’s goal is to raise $270,000.

How the Match works

The Collins Foundation, the Rose E. Tucker Charitable Trust and the Oregon Community Foundation have granted Sisters a total of $60,000 for a 1:1 NEW donor match! NEW donors who donate now thorugh December 31 will be matched 1:1, AND matched 50 cents on each dollar by a generous pool of individuals and businesses. So a new donor’s gift of $100 will become $250 (matched one a half times!)

All RETURNING Sisters donors who give through December 31st will also be matched 50 cents for each dollar donated. A $100 donation by a returning donor will become a $150 donation!

There is one catch: to receive the new donor match, Sisters must receive at least $60,000 in gifts from new donors by midnight on December 31..

* $100 – Cornbread for one week
* $150 –Spaghetti Day, one day
* $275 – Coffee for two weeks
* $285 – Burrito Day, one day
* $500 –Support for a four-hour community nonviolence training
* $950 – All groceries in the Cafe for one week
* $3,000 – Support for one year of expert testimony for better public policy by people who have experience with homelessness
