Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. - Barack Obama

Homelessness Ends With A Home - WRAP Action January 20th, 2010West Coast Housing Advocates January 20th, 2010, Sisters and other WRAP allies converged in San Francisco to demand our federal government come through on promises made to create more affordable housing and decriminalize homelessness and poverty. The protest and pre-protest adventures are documented in videos here and here and on Street Roots’ blog. A comprehensive list of online coverage of the WRAP event can be found here. Our friends and allies worked hard on the road to San Francisco! In Ashland, they campaigned in support of Measures 66 & 67.
Back on the road again - our travelers encountered a blizzard. But nothing could stop them from heading to San Francisco!
And finally, they made it! To celebrate, folks from all over the West Coast danced for social justice! To see even more pictures, videos, and informative discussions about the importance of this action, check out change.org. Sponsor This Important Event and Your support of this work is still welcome.
