What’s your story? / What do you do when you’re not volunteering with Sisters Of The Road?
A graduate of Washington High School, I moved back to Portland from Prince Rupert, BC, Canada about 9.5 years ago. My dad had been telling me about the great work Sisters had been doing and got me buying Sisters’ Meal Coupons. When I first became dissatisfied with the job I left in August (finally!), I applied for one with Sisters (though I didn’t get it). I’ve found ways to be more directly involved with Sisters ever since.

I have been very busy working on an Executive MBA that I hope will make me more useful in the world, and plan to work with Sisters on an Applied Project that will make Nonviolence a core value more accessible to businesses. I love vegetable gardening and yoga.

Fun Facts About You:
I am a real back to basics person, lived in isolation without power and running water for many years, and had all three of my kids at home without a midwife. A vegetarian most of my life, my practical nature has led me to becoming skillful at skinning and dressing out a dead thing; my reverence for life extends to making full use of what is given to us.
