Ending homelessness and poverty in Portland is possible.
Sisters of the Road is a grassroots, anti-oppression movement dedicated to centering the experience’s of our unhoused neighbors, building power from the ground up, and insisting on systemic solutions to systemic problems.
There are no strangers, just friends we've never met.

Rooted in Resilience
For 46 years Sisters of the Road has operated as a philosophy-based organization. Today, the philosophies of gentle personalism, anti-oppression, non-violence, systemic change, and dignity for all guide our work.
These roots have sustained our work through decades of change, and they drive us forward today. The need for our work has not diminished.
As we chart our next chapter, we’re asking you to support our movement. Strengthen our roots by making a financial gift during our end of year campaign.
