Introducing our new team

Dear friends,

We are proud to share that we have hired three new leaders who will guide Sisters into our next chapter:

  • Executive Director Nicki Dardinger

  • Systemic Change Director JJ

  • Systemic Change Organizer Katie Sponagle

Each new team member brings rich professional and life experiences and a deep commitment to Sisters’ vision that centers care and dignity for everyone, regardless of financial status.

This moment is not only about the future we envision, but also is a culmination of the intentional work we’ve done as a board to learn from our past, rebuild our organizational structure, and lay the foundation for long-term sustainability.

Our Commitment and Process

Over the past year, the board has taken several concrete steps to ensure that Sisters’ next era is grounded in accountability and care:

  • Engaged community partners to seek their input on Sisters’ future.

  • Rewrote job descriptions to reflect current needs and values.

  • Reconfigured salaries for equity and sustainability.

  • Codified in our bylaws the board’s accountability and training requirements to fully support and supervise our executive director.

  • Conducted a robust search — reviewing 115 applications, interviewing 19 candidates, and ultimately hiring 3 new leaders.

  • Designed a people-first hiring process that embodied Sisters’ values.

Looking Ahead

This is the first of several major milestones on the horizon. In the months ahead, we are taking the final steps to secure a new physical home for Sisters — one that will allow us to expand our programming and deepen our work with the community.

Over the next few days, we’ll send you a series of emails introducing you to each of our new team members. Stay tuned!

Sincerely,

Gus Kroll
